Reports on the Under-Reported #1: Racine Lutheran

Starting today and continuing throughout the weekend (maybe longer), we're going to turn the spotlight on several teams that haven't gotten much play on this blog up until now, but still find themselves among the top seeds in their respective sectionals.

Like Racine Lutheran.

As a sixth seed last season, they dropped their opening match to Martin Luther. But this year, they're seeded number two in Regional D of D3 S4. Among the stars are sisters Rosie and Rachel Aumann. Rosie, a freshman, sets and Rachel, a senior, has been a dominant presence in the middle, recently tallying 24 kills in a match against Kenosha Christian Life. Their first match will be Tuesday night at home against Prairie School. If they win, they'll play either Kenosha Christian Life or Martin Luther.

If you have insights on other under-reported top seeds (or more details about Racine Lutheran), e-mail vbuberalles@gmail.com. We can't guarantee we'll cover everything that's out there, but we are going to dig in this weekend and post like crazy, so you never know.
