Someone let us know that we had inadvertently neglected to include Catie Fredrich (Menomonee Falls '10) in our list of NCAA Division I Tournament participants (see post below), we thought we'd partially atone for our omission by including this video we found online. Note: We also added Central Michigan's Jocelyn VerVelde to the list.)

A: Binghamton. Four years with Lindsey Mueller (West Bend West '07) and now Amanda Dettmann (Divine Savior Holy Angels '11). One of Dettmann's front row options this year is, of course, fellow Wisconsinite, Kristin Hovie (Neenah '11), who was named to the Missouri Tiger Invite all-tournament team this past weekend.

Five Set Thriller in Arizona (And Other Entirely Random Reports)

• Duquesne's Patti Abshire (Catholic Memorial '11) was named to the all-tournament team at the Duquesne Invitational
• Merrill won the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Open. Merrill's Jess Sabey was tournament MVP. Tomahawk's Kellan Flynn and Merrill's Renee Sladek were also on the all-tournament team

Josh Kirchner (Sussex Hamilton '12) is on the U.S. Boys' Youth National team, which is one win away from the semifinals of the Men's U19 Pan Am Cup in Mexicali, Mexico. His stat line against Trinidad and Tobago is in the headline. His stat line against host Mexico will be written starting at 5 p.m. CST today. USA, USA, USA.

• Christine Paciero has been named head coach at UW-Parkside
• Joseph Goodson, former UW-Green Bay assistant and FC Elite head coach, has been named head coach at Jacksonville State

From Sussex to West Allis to Mexico to Argentina

Congratulations, Josh Kirchner (Sussex Hamilton '12 and West Allis Lightning 17-1) on making the 2011 boys youth national team, which will be playing in Mexico and Argentina later this year.

Jeremy Dejno (New Berlin United '10) will be playing in Brazil as part of the men's junior national team. Still looking for a link.

2013 Badger Verbal Lauren Carlini Makes 2011 U.S. Girls National Team

The setter/right side from Illinois will be part of the team competing in Turkey this August. Here's a story in the Chicago Sun Times.
