Thanks to onpackerland for tracking down the signing of Washburn's Maddie Siroin with Division II Minnesota State-Mankato. We've added her to our master list of 2010 recruits. Congrats.

You Can Still Catch the Second Half after the Panthers Win the Horizon League Championship

Word has it there's a pro football game at noon today that might be of some interest to a few folks in this state.

Yeah, OK, whatever.

Of much greater interest to you and us will be the UW-Milwaukee Panthers v. Cleveland State at noon. There is, after all, an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I tournament on the line. Trust us, with Sueppel, Schmitting, Schuh, Berg, O'Brien and others, the Panthers have a much more talented offensive (and defensive) line than that football team anyhow.

Go, Panthers, go.

UPDATE: PANTHERS UP 2-1 -- ONE SET AWAY FROM THE NCAA DIVISION I TOURNAMENT!!!

Wisconsin-Milwaukee v. Valpo in Horizon Semis

Here's the link for video. UW-Milwaukee Panthers win 3-0 to advance to the Horizon League Finals v. Cleveland State (tomorrow at noon CST). Kellye Zaporski (Kettle Moraine Lutheran '06) had something like a 12-point serving run in set three. Congratulations on a great collegiate career to Valparaiso's Kim Bukowski (Waukesha West '06).

UW-Oshkosh v. Juniata

Juniata wins in three. Ugh. Good season, Titans.

UW-Milwaukee Wins Five-Set Thriller Over UW-Green Bay in Horizon League Quarterfinals

Last set was 15-10 (UW-Milwaukee saved two match points in the fourth set). Congrats on a hard-fought game to the Phoenix. Shout-out and thank you to the Phoenix seniors, Holly Visser (Waupun '06), Lynsey Thiel (Martin Luther '06) and Nikki Hintze (Menomonee Falls '06). And good luck to the Panthers in the semis against Valparaiso. More to come.
