Required Reading for Friday, September 19, 2008

OK, so obviously you can choose to read whatever you want, but if we were you, this is where we would start on a Friday morning:
  • Wisconsin State Journal story about Kirby and Molly Toon of Middleton (D1 S3)
  • Eau Claire Leader-Telegram story about Eau Claire Regis's (D3 S1) three-set victory over West Cloverbelt rival Stanley-Boyd (D3 S2) last night, which references freshman middle Heather Bowe, one of the featured freshmen on our freshman on the floor list
  • Green Bay Press-Gazette's volleyball roundup, which includes news that Janelle Oudenhaven of West De Pere (D2 S2) joined our 20+ kill club in a loss to New London (D2 S2)
  • Beaver Dam Daily Citizen story about a play that had both Waupun (D2 S2) head coach Keith Milkowski and Plymouth (D2 S4) head coach Kurt Schermacher laughing "in stitches" at the exact same time
  • Appleton Post-Crescent team spotlight article featuring the thoughts of two Kimberly seniors, middle Taylor Schaefer and setter Megan Meier
  • Capital Times profile of Madison Memorial's Heidi Gors
  • Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel blurbs about the second-ranked Catholic Memorial boys beating fifth-ranked Pius XI in four and Franklin girls defeating Oak Creek girls in a five-set, 15-13, Southeast conference thriller
  • Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel box scores that show, among other match scores and stats, exactly how many assists Nikki Dailey had (39) and how many kills Rachel Ambroch had (18) for Franklin in the above-mentioned thriller.
  • Oshkosh Northwestern article about the match between still-undefeated Oshkosh West and Fond du Lac.

If you witnessed any of the above action firsthand, don't hesitate to share a positive comment about it. Thanks and happy Friday morning reading.
