Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Players of the Week (Division I)

Here's some more great information we received today. We don't have the link to the original source so we're copying and pasting the information for Division I right now and we'll try to do Division II either later tonight or tomorrow. Keep this good stuff coming. Thanks.

Joe Gachioch, Junior, Setter, St. Louis, Mo. (DeSmet High School)
Joe Gachioch, a 6-3 setter from Marquette Univeristy is the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division I Player of the Week. Gachioch led the 18th-ranked (NCVF Division I) Golden Eagles to a four-set victory over UW-Platteville on the road. He dished out 40 assists and scooped up five digs to go along with three service aces in the fourth set that helped Marquette University put away the match.

February 2-8, 2009

Danny Hessling, Senior, Middle Blocker, Greenfield, Wis. (Marquette University High School)

Hessling, a 6-3 middle blocker from UW-Oshkosh is the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division I Player of the Week. Hessling led the second-ranked (NCVF Division I) Titans to a four-set win over 18th-Marquette University and helped UW-Oshkosh to a 6-0 start in the Midwest Ten Conference.

In the win over the Golden Eagles, Hessling had nine kills in 12 attempts without an error and added four blocks. In 11 sets of action in the Midwest Ten Conference Play Date, Hessling tallied 29 kills on a mind-numbing .727 hitting percentage and collected nine blocks as the Titans began their quest for their seventh straight regular season Midwest Ten Conference Crown.
