Recap of Rosholt's Road to the Resch

The Stevens Point Journal has a nice article about the Rosholt Hornets' first-ever trip to the state championships, which came as a result of their victory over Wausaukee at the school's first-ever trip to the sectional finals (D4 S2). Rosholt plays Clayton at 10 a.m. on Friday in the D4 state semifinals.

Even better, the Journal hints that more stories are coming. Hopefully, we'll learn more about hard-hitting senior outside Elizabeth "Bird" Larson" (336 kills), senior setter Alyssa Macht (9.89 assists per game) and the rest of the Central Wisconsin Conference-10 champion Hornets. We'll keep you posted.

Here's a crazy thought: If you're going to the Resch anyhow to cheer for your favorite D1, D2 or D3 team, why not check out the Potosi-Catholic Central and Rosholt-Clayton matches at 10 a.m. on Friday? Both of these D4 semis are played at the same time so you'll no doubt get your money's worth.
