If at First We Don't Succeed: Our Latest Attempt to Pick Seven That Will Go Five

Since we had such resoundingly bad results the last time we tried to predict the matches that would go five sets, we thought we'd try it again. This time, we're picking seven matches:

DIVISION 1
  • West Bend East v. West Bend West in D1 S4 (would you expect anything less?)
  • Kaukauna v. Manitowoc Lincoln in D1 S2 (we picked the Ships to win this sectional back in August, but we're now guessing they'll need all five sets if they're going to defeat a very strong, very determined gallery of Galloping Ghosts)
  • Middleton v. Madison West in D1 S3 (this sectional is all about giving fans all five sets they've paid for)
DIVISION 2
  • Kettle Moraine Lutheran v. Catholic Memorial (this match should be a post-Halloween, five-set treat)
  • Medford v. Rice Lake (Didn't pick Rice Lake to go five last round and they ended up winning a 16-14 fifth set against Hayward so we'll go with the once-burned-twice-shy philosophy and pick them to go five tonight)
DIVISION 3
  • Wisconsin Heights v. Cuba City (last year, it was Cuba City in five...this year, all we'll predict is the five part)
DIVISION 4
  • Catholic Central v. Sheboygan Christian (this prediction probably goes a little against conventional wisdom, but if Elizabeth Egerer gets going for Sheboygan Christian, this one might very well go the distance before anyone knows if they're Resch-bound)
