Wednesday Morning Answer Session

As usual, Wednesday morning provides answers to many of the questions that were rattling around in our volleyball brains on Tuesday night. Here's just a sample of what Wednesday morning has for us:

Tuesday Night Question: Who will win when undefeated Sauk Prairie takes on undefeated Waunakee?

Wednesday Morning Answer: Sauk Prairie over Waunakee in four, 26-24, 27-25, 15-25, 25-20. Ashley Wipperfurth appears to have just missed out on the 20+ kill club, finishing with 19 on the night. Here's our most recently updated Last Team Standing list

Tuesday Night Question: On the boys side, which team will win in a sectional one matchup   between the two "K"s?

Wednesday Morning Answer: Kaukauna boys over Kimberly boys in three. Dominec Judkens had 19 kills for the Galloping Ghosts.

Tuesday Night Question: Will the Middleton boys have a letdown after winning the Racine Invite over the weekend?

Wednesday Morning Answer: Nope. They defeated Madison La Follette in three last night and there's a nice, long writeup about the match in this morning's Wisconsin State Journal. Stars for Middleton included Dane Maier, Michael Owen and others.

Tuesday Night Question: Will anyone join the 20+ kill club on Tuesday night?

Wednesday Morning Answer: We're guessing there will be more, but Jamie Vandenberg of Niagara had 25 kills against Peshtigo, which was all the more noteworthy because it occurred in just a three-set match. Also, Christi Schoch of Chippewa Falls McDonell had 22 kills in a five-set win over Stanley-Boyd. If there are others, let us know. And we'll keep looking.

Kaukauna vs. Kimberly game is always a great rivalry. Even though it was a sweep by the Ghosts, the intensity and support of the fans were great.

Anyone who's been a part of a K-K game in volleyball know what I am talking about. Phenomonal.
