Heartwarming Dig Pink Night at Marquette
We always love a fun, heart-warming story. Especially as we try to get Cheese going again. The Marquette Women's Volleyball program raised $5,155 for breast cancer through its partnership with the Side-Out Foundation's Dig Pink initiative. The team donned pink apparel on Oct. 21 to take on Louisville. Among other ways, the team chalked up donation dollars on a per-dig basis. Pretty cool, ey? It gets better. Because the team exceeded their $5,000 goal, head coach Bond Shymansky will coach the UConn match (Nov. 2) in a pair of blue and gold overalls. You won't want to miss that, cheesers.
