Beyer's 1,000th Career Kill Leads Marquette Past Georgetown, 3-0.
MU improves to 4-0 in BIG EAST play.
MILWAUKEE - Senior outside hitter Ashley Beyer notched her 1,000th career kill in the second set as the Marquette University women's volleyball team continued its perfect 4-0 start to BIG EAST Conference play with a 25-20, 25-16, 25-23 sweep of Georgetown Friday evening at the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles improve to 14-4 overall with the victory and were led by 10 kills from both Beyer and classmate Ciara Jones.
Villanova (9-9, 1-4 BIG EAST) was paced by 10 kills from sophomore outside hitter Brooke Bachesta.
Marquette returns to action Sunday at 2 p.m. against Villanova (12-6, 4-1 BIG EAST) at the Al McGuire Center.
