Having said that, we would hate to see the blemish on their perfect season that could very well occur if we and you do not rise to their just cause at this hour of dire need.
You see, the Racine Journal Times is holding an online poll to determine the best Racine County sports story of 2010 -- yeah, like that's even a question. So it doesn't matter if you're reading this in Grantsburg or Germantown or whether you're from Eau Claire or Little Chute, your volleyball brethren (er, sisteren) desperately need your support.
C'mon, people. Visit the news organization's home page, scroll down to the poll in the lower right and VOTE FOR VOLLEYBALL!!! It's the last option on the ballot. Currently, it's holding at around 20 votes. But we know it's going to have five times that by noon today, right?
AFTERNOON UPDATE: Voting is going well, but seriously some dude catching a brown trout at something called the "Salmon-A-Rama" is currently in first place. Aargh. Are we getting votes from Monona Grove? How about Gilmanton? Are you helping out, Black Earth and Manitowoc? We can so do this. Spread the word. Get out the vote.
EVENING UPDATE: Looks like RSC girls volleyball has taken over first place in the voting. The undefeated Angels are about to notch another victory!

The Lady Angels Thank You for your Support!
I personally don't see how there could be a question about the Best 2010 Sports Story in Racine since the Lady Angels were the only undefeated team left in the entire state.
Go Lady Angels, and Go C&V!!!! There are no better people than volleyball people! Keep up the voting.....we can't lose to a brown trout, even though it was a huge fish!
The polls are closed, and the 2010 SCHS Girl's Volleyball team is the top sports story for Racine County in 2010! Thanks for all the votes and all the support C&V fans!!!!!
