Memorial is also sporting a new assistant coach... alum setter and Milwaukee Sting coach Jamie McCourt and I am so excited to return to the sidelines of my alma mater. Ready for a big year!
Waukesha west will be in the sectional final. They had the Conference champion JV and Freshman teams. Lost a lot of great players to graduation but they will be a young and formidable opponent for CMH
Thanks for sharing. We'd love to know some names so we can keep them on our radar.
JV to varsity is a huge jump. JV success does not equate to varsity success, especially in the 1st year on varsity. That whole JV team was all juniors too. KM will have the 2 best players on the court in that match in Duma and Keating, with Jelacic just a hair behind for West. I like the prediction.
Just a quick correction for memorial...Ryan Taugher is a Junior outside/opposite and also Casey Townsend is a Junior, but unfortunately does not play anymore, he moved onto football last year.
But I will have to say don't count West out of the finals, with alex jelacic running the show over there he can lead them to the finals. Plus I know they graduated a lot of players but they had decent jv players that can fill in those roles that were lost. Nick Wildes, setter, was on an A1 roster for USA and they have a middle who can put a ball away in Dillon Gilpatrick. It will be intresting to see how all of this plays out! Thanks for the prediction!
I would be on the lookout for West or Madison East, they return 6 starters with some good talent. Experience is a huge factor, i think chastain is about 6-5 and Lytlle is about 6-3. They could show some people wrong...
Another factor playing against west is the fact that both CMH and KM brought up most of their young players to varsity. Because of west's senior heavy squad they could keep more kids down in JV and Frosh. The experience and height of KM puts them ahead, while CMH is clearly the team here to beat with talent in every position.
i couldnt figure out the volleyball mag forum thing so i could comment there so this is the only place ik how to do it. but alex jelacic will be back for the match against km. He isnt 100% but will probably start as an outside, maybe movie to the libero spot. waukesha west i feel will still give km a very very good match since west has two very solid middles. The taller being one of the best in the conference. if not the best. however i feel that jelacic will have to be 100% for west to beat cmh if they advance.
