WHAT HAS CHANGED: WE ARE NOT ALONE AND WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER
On August 1, 2008, WisSports.Net was not doing state-wide previews. On August 1, 2010, they have already posted nice insights for several conferences and they plan to cover even more.
Read them. Share them. The more ink for volleyball in this state, the better.
Yes, we do have an editorial relationship with them. They put our logo on their site and we plan to post on their site each week during the fall season. We do want to stress one thing, however: We do not have any sort of a financial relationship with them.
If you want to support Cheese & Volleyball financially, you'll need to buy a t-shirt, button or mug from our store. And if you choose not to buy a darn thing, we're 100 percent fine with that. We're more than happy to keep at this as best we can for the simple love of the game (and for the incredibly positive difference volleyball has made in the lives of our children).
WHAT HAS NOT CHANGED: OUR DESIRE TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS MEANS WE STILL CAN'T COVER WISCONSIN VOLLEYBALL LIKE WE'D LOVE TO
Someday (maybe soon), we'll be more at ease about revealing who the heck is writing this blog. This will not, however, occur, until we're completely certain that attaching a name to this thing won't be a distraction to our children, their teammates, their teammates' parents, the opposing team, the opposing teams' parents or any coaches, club directors or passersby.
Unfortunately, this anonymity thing also means we can't walk up to a coach and say "I'm from Cheese & Volleyball and I'd like to ask you a few questions about your team." The previews suffer as a result. They rely entirely on what facts we can find online and those insights that are either left as comments or e-mailed directly to vbuberalles@gmail.com. All of you have been absolutely fabulous about doing so and this site is chock full of nice information as a result. But until we lift the veil of anonymity completely, it can only take these previews so far. Sorry and thanks in advance for correcting any errors.
Enough chatter: First preview is hours away.
