Who'da Thunk?

We'll be honest with you: When we started blogging at the end of 2007, we never thought the day would come when we'd care about how the 2010 Ball State men's volleyball season ended.

But the crazy thing is that we do, we really do.

And it's for two simple reasons: It's been sorta fun to track the careers of Wisconsinites like Ethan Pheister (we can finally spell his last name without double-checking five times) and Eric Schulte, both of whom played their final collegiate match the other day in Ball State's MIVA semifinal loss to Ohio State. Ethan dished out 38 assists and Eric had eight kills and six blocks in defeat.

We know we're not covering everything that's going on out there. But it sure is fun to try -- and it's even more fun to prove with each post that this state cranks out some mighty fine volleyball players.

Congrats to Ethan and Eric and good luck in whatever comes next.
