Guam to Dunbar to Whitewater: What Google Taught Us about the WVC Division II Conference MVP

As you know, much of what we blog about comes directly from going wherever Google takes us. In this particular post, we decided to give you a glimpse into our world. So without further ado, here is a search-by-search reenactment of what we learned about WVC Division II runner-up Northland International University and one of its star players, Micah Herron:
  1. The first thing we found was this story about the Pioneers in the Iron Mountain Daily News. Congrats on a fine showing at the tournament last weekend in Whitewater.
  2. Of course, that also made us want to give a shout-out to Division II champions, Oshkosh II, so we took a detour over to the Oshkosh volleyball site and noticed that the Titans are 41-1 on the season. Pretty impressive stuff.
  3. Then we got back on task and tracked down NIU's stats for the WVC tournament at the school's site.
  4. All of which encouraged us to then enter the name "Micah Herron + Volleyball" into a Google search (according to the Iron Mountain Daily News story, he was the Division II conference MVP) and that led us to a story about him winning second-team all-conference for Harvest Christian Academy in Guam back in 2006.
So there you have it: Guam to Dunbar to Whitewater. Crazy, huh? Nine more posts to go before midnight.
