As many have no doubt already guessed, our second "Wisconsin Connections & ISU" post deals with Iowa State University.
Last Wednesday, two Wisconsinites, Debbie Stadick (Watertown '08 and #12 in the video above) and Ashley Mass (Muskego '07 and the libero above), played key roles in a huge upset win over then-No. 5-ranked Nebraska (the Cyclones had been 0-75 lifetime v. the Cornhuskers).
For her efforts, Ashley Mass was named Big XII Defensive Player of the Week, the 10th time she's received such an honor. This puts her in a tie with a former ISU basketball player for having won Big XII Player of the Week the most times in school history.
Congrats.

Christy had to be going crazy to beat her alma mater. I can see Joe's "ball never touches the ground" defense at full throttle. Very cool, thanks for the video feed.
Forgot to mention the two (and a half) Wisconsin Connections on the coaching staff:
Head Coach: Christy Johnson-Lynch - Former UW-Madison assistant (that's the half)
Asst Coach: Trudy Vande Berg - Waupun and UW-Milwaukee
Volunteer Asst: Joe Lynch - UW-Milwaukee
