Where to Begin, Where to Begin (How About Madison, Wisconsin, USA)

There's too much going on in the playoffs for our meager selves to cover everything so we're gonna just do the games from last night that are literally jumping off their respective brackets at us:
  • Madison Edgewood over Monona Grove (D2 S3) According to the excellent report in today's Wisconsin State Journal, the Silver Eagles came back from an 18-12 deficit in the second set before eventually winning in three
  • Portage over Lodi in a FST (D2 S3) The leading candidate for the five-set-thriller-of-the-night award has to go to this match. The Wisconsin State Journal reports that Portage came back from a 14-12 deficit in the fifth. Wow. Portage plays Edgewood tonight
  • Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran over Owen-Withee in another FST (D4 S1) Whenever it's 15-13 in the fifth, it's hard not to take notice. Among others, Immanuel Lutheran was led by Jess Ohlmann's 25 kills and Renae Markus's 35 digs
  • Wabeno over Florence in yet another FST (D4 S2) As predicted in the comments to our sectional preview, the Ladycats, led by senior Katie Brownson's 19 kills, appear to have put up a terrific fight, but fell just short by finishing 15-13 in the fifth. Is there anything more exciting in all of sports than a fifth set in volleyball?
We know we're missing a ton. If you have a positive report to share from last night, we'll be more than happy to publish it in the comments below. Thanks.
