What We Said Then Clayton over Rib Lake in four
What We Think Now Clayton is the No. 1 seed in its regional and easily won its first round game against Prairie Farm. Rib Lake is also a No. 1 regional seed and also won its first round game handily. The other No. 1 regional seeds are Northwood and McDonell Central.
What We Said Then Newman Catholic over Wabeno
What We Think Now Newman Catholic is the No. 2 seed in its regional behind No. 1 Greenwood. Wabeno is a No. 3 regional seed, behind No. 1 Wausaukee and No. 2 Florence. Other No. 1 regional seeds are Valley Christian and Tigerton. Friday night will be a test for the Wabeno Logrollers because they face Florence, the only team that beat them in the Northern Lakes. A comment left on our preview post states that the Florence Ladycats are "led by senior Katie Brownson and junior Kirsten Paulsen," who are "a delight to watch at the net." Should be interesting and we can't wait to hear a report on Friday night's game at Florence.
What We Said Then Cochrane-Fountain City over Potosi
What We Think Now We still like No. 1 regional seed Cochrane-Fountain City and their star Erica Willadsen. Potosi is also a regional No. 1 seed. Other regional No. 1s are Highland and Royall. Highland has defeated Potosi this season so that should be a great one if it comes to that. No. 2 regional seed Southwestern could also make some noise in Potosi's regional.
What We Said Then Cambria-Friesland over Hilbert
What We Think Now Cambria-Friesland is a No. 3 regional seed, behind a strong No. 1 regional seed in Johnson Creek and a No. 2 in Central Wisconsin Christian. Hilbert is a No. 2 regional seed behind No. 1 Manitowoc Lutheran. The other two regional No. 1s are Faith Christian and Lake Country Lutheran. We've been hearing a lot of good things about both teams so your guess is as good as ours in this sectional. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.
As always, let us know if anything is factually amiss. Much thanks.

Wow. Great post!
finally, get to share my thoughts and predictions...
Section 1
McDonell Central has completely flown under my radar this season but after looking at their schedule (34-2) and they definitely deserve WSN's #1 ranking in their coaches poll. Don't know much about Region A but think Rib Lake will make it to Sectional Finals. Other half, Clayton supposively has suffered some injuries and comparing their record to last years arent the same team. Still see them getting to Sectional Semis. Cant argue with what I see with McDonell Central so I see them winning this Sectional.
Sectional 2
The most even section with quality teams but no standouts, making predictions difficult. I think some of the best 2-3 match-ups in D4 will be played tommorrow in this sectional Northern Lakes rivals Florence and Wabeno matching up, Newman and Athens also should be good. I still see the #1s making it to sectionals in Reg. c and D, I dont know who i would choose to win semis. I see Greenwood winning their regional and then the Sectional. Region 2, who knows, St Mary Central has played in the tougher conference but Valley Christian is a conference champ, good potential match up saturday.
Sectional 3
First off, how many years since Hillsboro has not had a #1 seed? But for good reason as Royall has beaten them all three times faced. I see all #1 seeds reaching semi's, with Southwestern being the biggest challange #2. Highland has beaten Potosi 3 out of 4 time faced this year, good enough odds to make it 4 out of 5. CFC vs. Royall could be an all nighter, but i see Royall. Highland over Royall in the Sectional Finals, but a sectional with some potential epic FSTs.
Sectional 4
Until I saw McDonell Central's resume, I felt like the top three teams in D4 four where from this sectional (Manty Lu, Catholic Central, and Faith Christian). I still feel that two of the three or four "state chamion deciding" matches will take place in this sectional even before november. Those are this saurday night down in williams bay (potentially Faith Christian and CC) and next Saturday between (projected) Manitowoc Lutheran and winner of Faith Christian/CC match. I really have no idea who i should pick between the three. kinda sad but the truth, i see them as even.
State:
Highland over Greenwood
McDonell Central over Sectional 4 (ending the southeastern regionals reign of 6 straight if it is Catholic Central or Faith Christian)
McDonell Central over Highland in Finals
I would keep an eye on Manitowoc Lutheran... They could end up making a run to the Resch
