Best we can tell, the last two teams standing in the state are both UW schools. - The UW-Oshkosh Titans clinched their second straight WIAC championship with a win tonight over UW-La Crosse (they remain the No. 1-ranked Division III team in the country)
- The UW-Marathon County Huskies defeated both UW-Richland and Western Wisconsin Tech tonight during the team's "Volley for a Cure" event (and, yes, we know they're not DIII, but we decided to use the graphic anyhow)
The Huskies conclude their season this weekend in the Dells. The Titans compete next at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Tussle on 10/16-17.
Of course, if both teams succeed in running the table, we'll have to break the tie in the fairest way we know how -- by giving the Last Team Standing award to whichever team mentions Cheese & Volleyball the most times in their press releases ;)
