Great Loss to Wisconsin Volleyball Community

Merrill head coach Sally Pfund has died. The news was officially announced at a Merrill press conference this morning at 9 a.m. Please continue to keep those immediately impacted by this loss in your thoughts and prayers.

My best goes out to all her players, friends, family, and others who must deal with this tragedy. Please let us know if there is any kind of fund in which to donate.

We are a family, those of us who are players, coaches, or fans. Sometimes we all forget this in the heat of battle and while ranking everyone from best to worst. her death transcends all of that crap.

Rest in Peace Coach.

Sally was a good friend, she was a huge advocate of volleyball, she told it like she saw it and didn't backdown because "someone might not like it" - I still can't believe I will never hear that bigger than life laugh or see that smiling animated face again. She was a gift to her family, her students, her players and her friends.
