Class of 2010 Senior Shout Outs

Here's the harsh reality: For all but four teams, the high school season will end with a loss. And for the seniors on those teams, those losses will obviously be the last high school games of their prep careers.

This post has one purpose: Provide a forum for you to give a loud shout-out to those seniors whose high school careers have recently ended.

Thank them for the memories. Encourage them in their future endeavors. Say whatever you're feeling as long as it's very, very, very positive. (We do ask that you refrain from congratulating your favorite seniors until after their last high school game.)

So let's hear some serious praise. They have most definitely earned it.

Congrats to the seniors from Roncalli High school. Kayla Kasper, Hailey Gill, Maria Grant, Cory Paquette, and others, you helped take this program to levels never seen before. You fought hard tonight and almost had one of the best comebacks ever in game 4. Congrats on a great season and you should be proud of yourselves!!!

Congrats to Tori Kroll, Rachel Spaeth and Kristin Wetzel on KML. You guys gave it everything you had last night. It was awesome to watch. Rachel-that was your last vb match for awhile and it will be sad not to see you play. You're an awesome player and kid. Good luck girls in the future!

Katie Morman and Becky Engelbrecht at Shoreland Lutheran. Katie is one of the best Libero's Shoreland has ever had with just under 600 digs this season. Becky really stepped up her game and was the teams one and only hitter; she had just under 600 kills for her team with the closet team mate having only about 135. Wow, these girls were and are great VB players!

Homestead 'senioritas': Lauren Kellaher, Natalie Goniu, Natalie Sperling, Andrea Voss and Erica Reetz. What a great group of people. Homestead volleyball will miss you all terribly. Your season did not end the way you wanted, but being ranked all season was a great way to go out! And never forget about your victory at the Highlander. Good luck to you all in your future endeavours!
