"These Two Are a Big Reason Why I Have Faith in the Future of Boys Volleyball in Wisconsin"

We've run across three separate items that make us feel good about boys volleyball in Wisconsin, both now and in the foreseeable future.
  1. As you know, we love finding good coverage of boys volleyball, like this Lake Country Living story about Arrowhead's recent victory over Pius XI -- and Arrowhead senior Nick Korom's contributions to the team this season.
  2. We also received word that Green Bay PoWer will be fielding boys teams this fall. More club programs mean more playing opportunities and more playing opportunities mean more boys volleyball, thank you. (Also, see comment below about Wisconsin Ice's counterpart, Wisconsin Fire.)
  3. Finally, twin brothers Matt and Chris Seidl (Kimberly '07) coached against each other last night in a JV game between Kimberly and Neenah. Since both have spent time in the Rockets' organization, Neenah head coach Brian Zimmerman has had the unique opportunity to see their passion for the game firsthand. In his opinion, "these two are a big reason I have faith in the future of boys volleyball in Wisconsin."
And all of the above is, of course, mighty pleasant to hear. (Oh, for the record, Chris has bragging rights because his Kimberly JV team defeated Matt's Neenah JV squad 2-1.)

and if you are doing the kills thing again this year, for Westosha Jimmy Schultz had 30 kills in a five game match against Franklin last night... and 22 in a 3 game match against Tremper last Thursday

We wish we were doing "the kills thing" on the boys side, but we got started too late. Sorry, but definitely impressive.

That is awesome, it is great to see some young guys bringing their volleyball knowledge and skills to teach the future players in the state of wisconsin. Excellent article.

Wisconsin Ice also will be fielding a boys volleyball team this year. They hit the court last year for the first time. The boys team is named, FIRE. Get it? You know, FIRE and ICE??? :)
