Front Page News: Middleton Boys Win 25 in a Row

The front page of today's Wisconsin State Journal has a good story about Middleton's 3-0 win over Madison La Follette last night, which boosts the Cardinals' conference winning streak to 25 straight. You'll also want to read the "Prep Profile" feature on Madison La Follette's outside Steve Ament.

Statewide, Middleton ranks fourth in the latest WBVCA poll. Here are the top 10:
  1. New Berlin United
  2. Milwaukee Marquette
  3. Nicolet
  4. Middleton
  5. Catholic Memorial
  6. Kaukauna
  7. Westosha Central
  8. Wauwatosa East
  9. Wauwatosa West
  10. Arrowhead
And while we're on the subject of Middleton-Madison La Follette, please note that tomorrow night's ginormous girls girls between the two Big Eight rivals has been moved to Glacier Creek Middle School so if you want to watch a future Michigan Wolverine (Middleton's Molly Toon) take on a future Badger (Madison La Follette's Crystal Graff) that's where you'll have to go.

Very good accomplishment. Next year Nicolet, Whitefish Bay, Homestead and Germantown boys all form there own conference. How long before either Germantown wins a match or Nicolet loses one?

We can't quite tell if the above comment is meant to be a jab or not. If we determine it is, we may reconsider our decision to put it up here.
