We'll tell you this much about us: We have no ties whatsoever to the Frederic or Turtle Lake volleyball programs. Heck, we haven't even made the effort to use Google Maps to locate either high school on the planet. Which means it's been flat-out work for us to prepare the girls division four sectional one preview we'll post tomorrow. Or has it been?
Truth be told, it's been more fun than work to learn that Frederic's offense will likely revolve around Chrissy Chenal, who was one of the few non-Grantsburg players to be named to the Burnett County Sentinel all-area team. And we sorta like knowing that Turtle Lake features two Lakeland West all-conference honorees in junior Alex Tschida and sophomore Ashley Lahti.
Of course, what we would like even more is for you to enjoy learning about these players and teams, too. As we head into 20 straight days of girls sectional previews, why not familiarize yourself with (and help us learn more about) players and teams you wouldn't otherwise? And if you happen to know someone who knows someone whose sister-in-law played volleyball for Owen-Withee, please let them know we're trying our level best to promote their team (and every other one in this state).
