Underway in F-L-A: 2009 USAV High Performance Championships

OK, the last two days have pretty much been the day job equivalent of getting six-packed by Mr. Kiraly in his prime (which we're pretty sure covered about half a century), but we're back and, well, pretty much about the same as ever.

In an effort to catch up on all things volleyball in Wisconsin, we'll start with the 2009 USAV High Performance Championships that got underway today in Fort Lauderdale. As you may recall, we provided what we hoped was a complete list of every Wisconsinite who would be participating. Now comes the fun part. These are a few of the divisions we think we're following the closest.

BOYS NATIONAL YOUTH (BNY)

• USA Continental Select White: Casey Townsend (Catholic Memorial '12)
• USA Select Silver: Peter Hutz (Milwaukee Marquette '12), Josh Kirchner (Sussex Hamilton '12) and Nick Olson (New Berlin United '12)
• USA Continental Select Red: Trevor Novotny (Catholic Memorial '12) and Kyle Rohde (Brookfield East '12)
• USA Select Blue: Matt Klingspohn (Nicolet '11)

GIRLS INTERNATIONAL YOUTH (GIY)
