In 2006, Iowa State defeated UW-Milwaukee in the first round of the NCAA Division I tournament. Two years later, UW-Milwaukee exacted revenge at the Panthers' home tournament. Since the Cyclones were ranked No. 18 at the time, it marked the first time since 1999 that the Panthers had defeated a ranked opponent. Should be an interesting 24 hours in Ames.
Looking further down the schedule, one finds a number of former Wisconsin prep stars and other Wisconsinites who'll be returning to their home state for a match in the Klotsche Center. These are the players and coaches we've identified.

- Matt Houk (UW-Milwaukee '02) is head coach for South Dakota
- Jerad Gelante (UW-Milwaukee '08) is assistant coach for South Dakota
- Angie Roidt (McFarland '09) will be a freshman setter for the Youngstown State team that plays UW-Milwaukee on October 2.
