According to the UW-Oshkosh volleyball site, the Titans have landed another middle: Zachary Johnson, the 6' 6" honorable mention all-stater from Homestead. He joins two others from the class of 2009, Beloit Memorial's Marshall Davis and Burlington's Harris Jorgenson, to form a formidable middle presence. You'll find all three on our master list of 2009 men's recruits. Congrats.

Homestead's Zachary Johnson Verbals to UW-Oshkosh Volleyball

Just out of curiousity...how does one verbal to a D3 school? Does that simply mean that they decided to go to school there and the coach wants them to play there? I see this a lot and always wondered.
That's our understanding. No verbal is anything more than that, but with DI and DII, there are eventually papers that get signed. With DIII, we think it's always just a mutual agreement.
