Waukesha West's Ashley Applequist to Play College Ball for Bill Walton

Not that Bill Walton. We're talking about the Bill Walton who's been the head volleyball coach at Houston for more than two decades. (And BTW, you really shouldn't be thinking about basketball on this blog anyhow, should you?)

But we digress: According to the Milwaukee Sting site, Ashley Applequist of Waukesha West has verbaled to the Houston Cougars. Among her other accomplishments, Ashley was named to the 2008 JVDA Championships 17 open all-tournament team last summer. She's also been added to our master list of 2009 recruits. Congrats.
