Long Overdue Congrats to Some Wisconsin Volleyball Success in Nebraska

This past weekend, many Wisconsin teams traveled to Omaha, Nebraska to compete in the Asics Presidents Day Classic Volleyball Tournament. Capital 15 Nike Angie went home a champion in 15 Club and Wisconsin Juniors 18-1 finished second in 18 Club. Here's a rundown of how everyone fared:

  • Capital 18 Nike David finished 11th
18 CLUB
  • Wisconsin Juniors 18-1 finished 2nd
  • Capital 18 Nike Mark finished tied for 5th (they lost to Wisconsin Juniors 18-1 in a three-set quarterfinal thriller 27-25, 25-27, 15-10!)
  • Wisconsin Juniors 18 Blue finished 19th
17 OPEN
  • Wisconsin Juniors 17-1 finished 14th
17 CLUB
  • Capital 17 Nike Emily finished tied for 5th (here's the story on their site)
  • Wisconsin Juniors 17 Blue finished 31st
16 OPEN
  • Capital 16 Nike David finished 12th
16 CLUB
  • Wisconsin Juniors 16-1 finished 17th
  • Wisconsin Juniors 16 Blue finished 39th
15 OPEN
  • Wisconsin Juniors 15-1 finished 13th
15 CLUB
  • Capital 15 Nike Angie finished 1st (here's the story on their site)
  • Wisconsin Juniors 15 Blue finished 20th

BTW, I think you should include the 13's and 14's in your review when the data is available to keep up with your mission statement. I always thought that the other volleyball website limitations were that they tended to focus on 15 and up. Please, serve all age groups! We need these kids to like the sport and stay with it!

Just a minor correction... In the first paragraph you said "Capital 15 Nike Emily went home a champion in 15 Club". The team name is actually Capital 15 Nike Angie (or just Capital 15 Nike).

In any case, they've had a talented team for a couple years now, but have struggled with injuries. Hopefully they've turned the corner and people will see just how good they are!
