That's how much WIAC was able to raise for the Madison-area Susan G. Komen Foundation through various "Dig for the Cure" events last October. Here's a quote from WIAC commissioner Gary Karner:

"Given the incredible time demands associated with being a student and an athlete, it never ceases to amaze me as to how much our student-athletes give back to the community and to those less fortunate than themselves."

So true. We applaud WIAC and every other school that held similar events. Well done.
