Reports of a Lull Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

Lull? What lull? There was certainly no lull in Minnesota on Sunday. The Tri-State All-Star Volleyball Showcase was held on November 23 in Rochester. Team Wisconsin represented itself well against teams from Minnesota and Iowa.

According to this Minnesota-based blog, the event ended in a three-way tie. But if they'd had a tie-breaker for sets won or points won (and hey, we're heading into the club season so we better start thinking in those terms), guess which state came out on top. No seriously, you'll never guess.

We'll give you a hint: WISCONSIN!!!

Members of Team Wisconsin are listed at this link and below (we're assuming they're all Class of 2009, but if anyone knows different, please, please, please let us know):
  • Jamie Vandenberg, Niagara, MH/OH
  • Michelle Campbell, Richland Center, OH
  • Ashlee Gabrielson, Viroqua, L
  • Kaycee Charette, Prescott, OH
  • Ellie Hovda, Wausau East, OH
  • Jennifer Johnas, Medford, L
  • Ellie Dietzen, Seymour, MH
  • Lauren Radix, Wisconsin Heights, S/OH
  • Hillary Hughes, Wisconsin Heights, OH
  • Kalli Lochner, Wisconsin Heights, MH
  • Amy Schlimgen, Wisconsin Heights, Head Coach
Congrats and thanks to the unnamed individual who gave us a heads up on this. According to the e-mailer, "it was a great time to watch these very talented girls come together and play, lots of great rallies!!!"

We now resume the lull already in progress.
