NCAA Division I Brackets Are Up

Here they are. The only Wisconsin school in the tournament will be UW-Milwaukee, and they'll play Illinois on Friday. 

We've also created this "Wisconsin Connections" list of former Wisconsin prep players whose teams are in the tournament and we think it's complete. Let us know if we're missing someone. Thanks.

Kimberly's Sally Warning plays MB for St. Louis.

Somerset's Megan Plourde plays Oh/MB for Colorado St.

If we include coaches:
Former Badger Lizzy (Fitzgerald) Stemke is an AC at Nebraska for, well, you know ... shall we say another former "Badger."

Kentucky HC Craig Skinner started as an AC at Wisconsin.

Milwaukee's Justin Ingram is an AC at K-State.

Portland St. HC Michael Seeman started at Northland College.

North Dakota St. AC Rocky Koenig is from Valders/Lakeland College.

North Dakota St. AC Erich Hinterstocker is from Mequon and is former AC at UW-GB/Viterbo.

North Dakota St. AC Kari Thompson is from Amherst and played at UW-GB.

Iowa St. HC Christy Johnson is a former Badger AC.

Iowa St. AC Joe Lynch is from Wauwatosa, graduated from UW-Milwaukee and coached Tosa East.

Illinois volunteer AC Melissa David played at UW-Milwaukee.

Iowa St. DVO Jessica Klein played briefly at Marquette.

Duke AC Trudy Vande Berg played at UW-Milwaukee and was a volunteer AC for the Badgers.

Cal AC Chris Bigelow is a former Badger AC.

Of course the three Milwaukee coaches also have Wisconsin ties.

Most of the above coaches have extensive Wisconsin club roots as well.
