Finally, a List for Setters: The 800-100 Club

Few things are more fun to watch than a setter in a 5-1 who's also a devastating offensive weapon. After searching through the stats in the state program, we decided to create yet another list, this time of setters who had at least 800 assists and 100 kills last season. If you know of any setters who weren't at state with a stat line like that, please let us know and we'll add them to the alphabetical listing below. Thanks.
  • Thresia Eiskamp, Potosi (640 assists, 104 kills)*
  • Morgan Liebetrau, West Bend East (1040 assists, 107 kills)
  • Michielah Navis, Waupun (942 assists, 102 kills)
  • Tricia Tirabassi, Kenosha Tremper (836 assists, 110 kills)
  • Kayla Uhlenhake, Burlington (915 assists, 101 kills)
(Note: Yeah, yeah, we know we broke our own rule of 800 assists with this one, but Thresia averaged 7.3 assists per game so it seemed asterisk-worthy)

Kayla Uhlenhake of Burlington and Keena Schneider of Catholic Central SHOULD also be on the list, though I'm not sure of the stats.

Keena's stats were in the state program. She had 807 assists and 53 kills. Certainly her own kills would have been higher if she weren't helping four of her teammates reach triple-digit kills (Carol Henney, Samantha Oldenburg, Michelle Smith and Kelli Smith).

It would be great to have Kayla Uhlenhake's season stats if anyone knows them.

I realized after I looked it up Keena only had 53 kills this year (plus whatever she had at state). That's a big deal, as she was dumping the ball less and setting more effectively for the four hitters this year.

As soon as I find Kayla's stats, I will post them.

Kayla probably will not come close to the 800 assists. They ran some 6-2 and used her as a hitter. She might have the 100 kills though.

Emily Neave deserves serious consideration - 984 assists (10.25/gm) and 66 kills. Charlie likes his setters to feed the hitters.
