A Few Fast Friday Things

Let's take a quick tour of some Friday morning news:
  • Beaver Dam Daily-Citizen has a nice article on junior outside Brandi Dolgner of Waupun who joined the 1,000-kill club for her career (she's the 11th Waupun player to reach that milestone)
  • According to the Stevens Point Journal, it took extra numbers for Wausau West to defeat Stevens Point on senior night
  • The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports that Eau Claire Regis dropped just one set this season in the Western Cloverbelt conference
  • From the Wisconsin State Journal: Waunakee defeated Sauk Prairie in an epic five-set struggle in the Northern Badger conference (Ashley Wipperfurth of Sauk Prairie had 23 kills in defeat)
  • Looking at the Green Bay Press-Gazette, it appears as though Gillett's Dani Riley (20 kills v. Wausaukee) and Peshtigo's Bailey Kunz (20 kills v. Crivitz) are the newest members of our 20+ kill club
  • On the boys side, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Dave Maternowski of Pius XI notched 23 kills in a five-set loss to Waukesha West
  • Also in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Mandi Baumeister of Burlington had 22 kills in a four-set victory over Oak Creek
