Checking the Newspapers Again

We skimmed this morning. We'll try to identify stories we missed this morning, as well as the newest members to our 20+ kill and 25+ dig lists:
  • Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Homestead's Erica Reetz had 25 kills in a three-set win over Germantown
  • Also in the MJS, Greenfield and Greendale appeared to have had a good one, with Greenfield winning in five. Stacey Butts had 16 for Greenfield and Morgan Mutranowski had 17 for Greendale.
  • Also in the MJS, Jenny Ciriacks had a monster night in a four-set loss to New Berlin Eisenhower, racking up 29 kills and 18 digs.
  • Thanks for the link, anonymous. Harris Jorgenson had 29 kills in Burlington's four-set win over Muskego. Kyle Ketterhagen had 30 assists. Mike Porcaro and Zeb Covell also got some ink.
We'll add more if we find anything. Gotta focus on the Badgers game right now.

What is the difference between attack kills and total kills? Because Harris Jorgensen had 23 attack kills and 29 total kills...I have never seen that before.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. Our guess (and it's only a guess) is that they're calling blocks "block kills." So it's probably (repeat, probably) 23 kills and six blocks as is commonly scored. Not sure how we'll list it on the 20+ kill list when we get around to updating that.
