If You Want to Help Build the Sport in the State, Read Today's Wisconsin State Journal

There's a great story in the WSJ about the Madison East boys team and their first-year coach Ty Cleveland. While the Purgolders have not yet won a match, the entire team is working incredibly hard to do something more important: build a program and overall enthusiasm for the sport in their area.

We first encountered Cleveland's efforts way back at the beginning of August when we were doing our sectional three preview. Thanks to the great website he created, Madison East was one of the easiest teams to get intel about.

While we're still predicting Catholic Memorial will win this sectional, it's definitely worth your time to read up on the Purgolders and their first-year head coach.

Anonymous comments have come our way that stress how strong and balanced Middleton is. We agree. We also agree that all-conference and all-state accolades aren't typically passed out to a balanced team's entire lineup, which, as a result, means great players are sometimes left off of these lists. We're leaving this comment to share the above observations without making any specific references to other players or teams.
