Results from our Two Latest D1 Polls Are Complete

Apparently, sectional five is going to be a thrill ride. Eight of the 14 schools received votes, with Cedarburg (29 percent) just edging out Menomonee Falls (25 percent) and Watertown (20 percent). Others receiving votes include Arrowhead, Homestead, Kettle Moraine, Waukesha South and Waukesha West.

In our sectional seven poll, there's a little more consensus. Most of you (62 percent) felt Muskego would return to state after a one-year hiatus. Others receiving votes include Wauwatosa West and West Allis Hale, each with 12 percent, and Franklin with 8 percent. Brookfield Central also received a vote.

Another D1 poll and a D4 will go up as soon as we get around to it.

This may be the first time Cedarburg has been considered a contender in any way. Why the change?

Since this was an anonymous poll, we can only guess why the people who voted for Cedarburg did so. If we were to speculate we'd say it probably has something to do with their new coach, Doug Hext, and standout middle, Karen Sueppel. But again, we have no idea why Cedarburg surged to the front of our poll.
