Three Reasons Why You Should Help Us Know Everything We Can about the Upcoming Boys High School Season

We've already received some tremendous insights in response to our recent call for information. And for that, we're eternally grateful (OK, maybe not eternally, but we promise to be thankful for at least a month). We could, however, always use more intel. That's because from August 1-8, we'll be previewing the upcoming boys high school season, one sectional per day. We're looking for the names of teams and players to watch, as well as what you consider to be must-see matches. If you have a schedule, shoot that to vbuberalles@gmail.com as well. So why should you bother to help us? We can think of three reasons:
  1. More Excitement You have to admire football. No seriously, you do. That sport has somehow managed to make every game seem like the battle of the century--even when both teams playing have losing records. By helping us out, you can contribute to the promotion of volleyball in Wisconsin. Isn't it time more people realized that a kill is infinitely more exciting than a run up the middle for three yards?

  2. More Fans If number one occurs, then number two will inevitably follow. The more excitement that surrounds volleyball, the more fans will attend. We can't guarantee more people will show up at your matches, but we can and will try. Oh we'll try.

  3. More Excitement and Fans OK, so our three points are a little like the five rules of dodgeball, but this really is all about packing stands and raising roofs. And one way to do that is to help us spread the word about exciting matches and individual matchups. (And, er, it can't hurt on the recruiting front, either.)
Keep in mind that we rely entirely on word-of-mouth so if you know someone who knows something you don't know but knows next to nothing about this blog, send that someone our way. We're also regularly monitoring the Wisconsin thread on Volleyball Magazine's forum so keep talking up the upcoming season there as well.
