Sorting through First Day 2008 HP Championship Results (Almost Successfully)

We think this is how Wisconsinites and Badger Region teams fared on day one of the HP Championships. Please let us know where we've mishandled the ball.

If anyone has match details or other insights, let us know. Thanks.

They have the National Youth results linked to the National Select results. I see that it now says Day 1 corrected. At 9:30 this morning it showed the Badger Region Girls' Team at 2-0. Of course it could have been wrong since they now have a corrected (supposedly) version, although it is linked to the wrong results. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Thanks, anonymous. And let's hope it really is 2-0 once the cyber-dust settles.

I'm not sure if they won their first match this morning or not but it looks like they won their pool as they are the number two seed in round two. Round two began this evening and they won the first match of round two in four. The first set wasn't pretty and they weren't in any kind of rythm. I didn't see the rest of the match but a parent said they pulled it out in the following 3 sets.

If they keep up this pace they will be in a very good position to qualify for the International division next year.

Sara Blaiser's Select Blue team isn't fairing quite as well. They are currently 0-4 but those kids are learning some good lessons in the process. She is frustrated but remains in very good spirits.
