New Coach at Hortonville Will Have Big Sectional Challenge

We know we're in the middle of some major boys' and girls' club championships, but we thought we'd take a moment to catch up on some weeks-old news and hopefully put it in appropriate context.

First the weeks-old news: Hortonville has hired Leah Rosenbaum as its new varsity head coach. Congratulations and good luck to the former UW-Oshkosh star.

Now the context: As we mentioned in a previous post, we're going to view the upcoming high school season with an ever-watchful eye on sectional matchups. For Hortonville, the "Road to the Resch" means fighting through the very tough Sectional 4 and D1 state runner-up, West Bend East, which returns all but one starter. Sectional 4 also includes two teams which boast JVDA All-Tournament players: Caitlin McIntyre of Beaver Dam and Aleisha Bagin of West Bend West.

We look forward to some exciting volleyball to come out of Sectional 4 this fall. And we can't wait to report on it.
