Ohio State's Daniel Matthews Breaks Our Concentration

As we're sweating over our BRC 18 Open predictions and half-listening to the Big Ten Network's broadcast of the Ohio State-Penn State mens volleyball match, we happen to hear the announcer mention Shorewood, Wisconsin. The reference is, of course, to Daniel Matthews of Shorewood and North Shore Milwaukee Volleyball Club. Here's some recent press about OSU's setter. The Ohio State University ended up winning the game, which is "only the 10th time this season Penn State has lost a game." This is a good opportunity to point out that Cheese & Volleyball is keenly aware that there is some outstanding boys and mens volleyball in this state and that someday our coverage will include it. Until then, go Buckeyes (ooh, that was hard to say).
