Editorial: Cheese & Basketball?

Multiple-sport athletes are becoming a rarity. Is this good or bad? The correct answer is "it all depends." Every individual is, well, an individual and should have the freedom to make the decision that's best for her unique circumstances. We applaud those who choose to focus exclusively on volleyball, as well as those who compete in multiple sports. Which brings us to the state basketball playoffs. Take a look at this preview from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and you'll notice some familiar names from last year's state volleyball tournament, including Sam Barber of DC Everest, Christina Brinkman of Westosha Central and Emily Sydnor of Pius XI.
