2009 Girls Conference Champions & All Conference Teams

Here's our attempt to list every conference champion in the state. And yes, we're far from accomplishing the goal. But it's a start (with links when we have them). Let us know what we don't or where we err. We'll keep working at it. Thanks.

  18. Grantsburg has not always been in the West Lakeland conference, due to re-alignments over the years. However, Grantsburg won its 21st consecutive conference championship under coach Bill Morrin this year. Most of those 21 were undefeated conference seasons. That's kinda noteworthy. =)

  23. I believe the Dunn-St. Croix Conference is all one conference and Cameron is not in the D-SC because they are the Lakeland East Conference, I think the D-SC conference champion was Colfax, depends if they had a conference tournament.

  24. Badger South - Edgewood
Ridge and Valley - I'm guessing it was designated a tri chamion between Weston, Seneca, North Crawford who all finished 6-1, unless they determined the champion through a tie breaker, but I sort of doubt it.

  28. A little info I found on a team that not much that may come in helpful because not much may not be found on them next fall because of their situation. Ashland finished 6-1 in the Lake Superior Conference (MN schools) and had their junior setter Claire Lulich and junior hitter Anika Whiting named to first team all conference. Lulich second year in a row on first team, was second team as a freshman. Whiting was a HM all conference last year.

  29. Nicolet won North Shore for second straight year.
Was undefeated in matches 7-0 and did not drop a game 21-0 in conference play. Also won Conference tournament (also undefeated) for 3rd straight year.
